Complaint Repair is a free site for all visitors, including consumers and businesses. Complaint Repair does not censor posted consumer messages, or business replies, or investigate them for accuracy.

The entire content of e-mail messages received by Complaint Repair are posted to Complaint Repair.

E-mail addresses are posted to Complaint Repair in encoded form (since Feb., 2004) to help prevent automated collection and unwanted SPAM e-mail messages. Posted e-mail addresses are visible to the human eye. Other consumers (any site visitor) and / or businesses may content you via e-mail as a result of your e-mail address being available in encoded form for pubic view on Complaint Repair.

Consumers and / or businesses that don't want their personal e-mail addresses or names posted for public view on Complaint Repair should inform Complaint Repair in the SUBJECT line of their message. These implementations are limited to privacy measures that don't affect the actual content or possible meaning or intent of the message, of what is being written and expressed by the message author.

When your message is posted on Complaint Repair you will receive e-mail notification that your message was posted. This notification e-mail will remind you that your posted message
will be available for public view on the Complaint Repair site, via the Search Box on our Home Page, in about 24 hours. Your posted message may also be indexed by Internet search engines.

As already explained above, your e-mail address will be posted in encoded form, to prevent automated collection, but will be visible to the human eye. You may or may not receive e-mail messages from others (other consumers, businesses, etc.) due to this encoded posting of your e-mail address on Complaint Repair.

When your message is posted on Complaint Repair, please check your posted message (using the Search Box on the Complaint Repair home page) and advise any privacy edits (changes that don't affect the content or meaning of your message).

Message content changes are not allowed and require your e-mail instruction to Complaint Repair to remove your entire posted message. Then, if you so choose, you may e-mail a new message to Complaint Repair that is acceptable for posting for public view on Complaint Repair.

Consumers and businesses (message authors) are responsible, legally and otherwise, for all e-mail messages sent to Complaint Repair and posted to Complaint Repair for public view. If a message author writes something that isn't true, the message is still posted to the Complaint Repair message board for public view. Again, Complaint Repair does not edit or censor posted messages. Consumers and businesses (message authors) are responsible for the validity and any possible consequences of publicly posted Internet message board messages.

Complaint Repair is NOT responsible for the validity and any possible consequences of that message.

Complaint Repair does not know if posted messages are accurate or not. Complaint Repair is an Internet message board and all consumer messages are received via e-mail from consumers and posted to the Complaint Repair message board without Complaint Repair investigating the messages for completeness, truthfulness or accuracy. Complaint Repair does not edit or censor messages posted to the Complaint Repair Internet message board.

If a court were to find that a consumer complaint constitutes libel or defamation, that consumer would be held legally responsible for damages to the reputation of that business. Under federal law (the Communications Decency Act), because Complaint Repair does not censor posted consumer messages or investigate them for accuracy, Complaint Repair is not legally responsible for the complaints that are posted, even if those complaints contain remarks that are defamatory. However, this law does not protect the person who leaves the complaints from responsibility for those complaints.

The Complaint Repair site collects two categories or "pieces" of information from site visitors:

Piece 1) E-mail messages - consumer complaint messages - from Complaint Repair site visitors (note: this piece does NOT include newsletter subscriptions - # 2 below).

These messages should be constructive in nature and describe PERSONAL (not secondhand or third-party) consumer experiences with product manufacturers and service providers.

Messages are posted, by default, in their entirety, to the Complaint Repair message board Internet Web site for public view by the entire world via the Internet.

Complaint Repair does not censor or edit posted messages or investigate message for accuracy or validity.

Piece 2) Subscriptions to our daily newsletter. This is a double opt-in newsletter. E-mail addresses are NOT sold or shared, in ANY way. Your e-mail address is only for use by Complaint Repair, internally, to send the newsletter.

The rest of the information collected in the newsletter subscription form - Zip/Postal Code, Country, Age, Gender and Income - is only shared with newsletter sponsors on an ANONYMOUS, AGGREGATE basis. This helps Complaint Repair better identify newsletter sponsors and helps Complaint Repair earn revenue in a low key, non-intrusive manner, and supports our ability to provide this newsletter and the Complaint Repair site.
