the following consumer message on November 27, 2002:

RE: McDonalds, Ramsey St., Fayetteville, NC - dirty restaurant - rude
response from employee about suggestion to clean restaurant
On November 27, 2002 at approximately 1:10 p.m. I purchased lunch at McDonald's
Restaurant on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville, NC. The facility was so dirty
that two customers left. The condiment area had so many spills that we
couldn't put our trays down.
The ice area was so nasty and slippery that customers decided not to get
anything to drink. At that time I decided to stay because I understood
that staff may be short and it is also the busy peak.. I decided to make
a suggestion to a female that seemed to be in charge and asked if someone
could clean the area because it was unsanitary.
She got very angry and reponded in a very unprofessional manner "
You Want Your Money Back?" I told her that I didn't want my money
back and that I was only suggesting that someone clean the place so I
could eat my food. She again responded in a very irate tone " We
are too busy to clean and we don't have enough people to clean".
At that time two customers decided to request their money back and another
one decided to just leave and not order.
