RE: MTNL, Mankhurd Exchange, Govandi, India - inflated bills - service
cut off for non-payment despite paying bills - poor voice quality
Since I have moved
to Govandi last foour years, I am always getting inflated bills.
I am hardly at home and I am having LAN connection for Internet. Inspite
of this the average bill that I get every time is about Rs 1600/-.
Earlier about 4 yrs before when I was staying at Chunabhatti, my average
bill used to be about
Rs 650/-. I went for LAN connection for internet to avoid inflated MTNL
bills. But I am very un-fortunate. Sometime I used to think that some
body else also is using my line.
I am not having STD/ISD facility since I have moved to Govandi, as I was
afraid that I will get inflated bills.
Since Last 2-3 months, some how the STD has started working without asking
for the facility. This was discovered accidentally, when one of my friend
tried to contact Calcutta. I thought that, MTNL has started giving the
facility to all.
To-day my phone says, that my line is temporarily disconnected for non-payment
of bills. Where as I am always paying my bills through Bill Junction.
Hence there is no question of late payment. It is an auto payment. Also
I have confirmed from the Bill Junction site that I do not have any unpaid
bills, and that I hv earned lot many points.
This confirms my doubt that, my number is crossed with some other number
and MTNL is penalising me for their fault .
Also inspite of several complaints, the voice quality is very poor since
begining. There are lot of noises and some times, both the parties cannot
hear properly. In Chunabhatti, I never used to have any problems with
my phone. Here for any small rains, the phone gets dis-connected.
If this country was to be USA, I could have sued MTNL for lacs of rupees
for providing useless service and charging huge amount.
My Telephone number is 25503304.
Hope Mankhurd Exchange officials will wake up, and perform their duties
sincierely and ensure that their customers get good clean service.
