RE: Motorola / Verizon Cell Phone - trouble with new wireless phone
Dear Customer Service:
I finally find a cell phone that I really like and after a month I have to send it in for repair. First of all let me tell that the Schooled service department in New Lenox, Illinois was wonderful and understanding.
I use my cell phone for my business, I am an insurance agent, therefore I use my cell a lot. One morning I went to use it and it was ok until 2 or 3 hours later I noticed that my screen light was on but nothing else was visible. I had calls coming in and I couldn't tell who it was. I tried replacing the battery and that didn't help. Since my phone was very new I decided to take it in to be looked at.
After 5 weeks, I finally get it back. I was told that there was corrosion and couldn't be fixed. My reply was that I couldn't understand how there could be corrosion when that phone has never been abused. The clerk at Schuld indicated to me according to the work order that moisture might have build up. Did you leave it in your car overnight? Sometimes that will cause this problem.
My reply was I have left other phones in my car overnight in my garage and I never had anything like this happen before. I also told her that if I had left it overnight it was the night before this happen because I always charge my phone when I get home from work. She said it had happened to other people with the weather change that the phones build moisture form the cold.
As I said before, I have had other phones before that were left in my car overnight and never have I had such an experience like this one. I really like this phone system, and I really would like to have the same phone that I have now. My son and daughter all of us have the same phone and my son also says he hasn't had problems.
I would really appreciate anything you can do for me to fix this problem. I really, really, miss my phoneand I can actually hear my customers!
The information below was given to me by the clerk at Schuld in New Lenox, so you can follow up on it. She knows that we are regular customers and never have had any complains before. I hope you can help me with this situation.
Thank you,
Minnie Greskowiak
