RE: RE: Complaint about AdvancedGPS.com
Also note: The company has *today* resumed using their "real" California address and removed their 800 number from their website, matching their California BBB record. I noted to the company the fact they have a bad BBB record in California, so why the PO Box in Vegas (the same point I made in my complaint). I know they are reading my emails, which infuriates me even more, since no action has still been taken to even respond.

RE: AdvancedGPS.com - paid for 2 eMap bike mounts - haven't received order - can't get order statusOn May 19th, I ordered 2 eMap bike mounts, for which my credit card was charged $16.90. The charge was verified through American Express. The order number was 495275. A notice on their website indicated all items listed were available for immediate shipment, with the exception of certain listed items, and the reply email from the order. This company took my money and has not provided merchandise, or answers as to the status of my order. It's also poor business to charge prior to shipment...and provide no notice to the customer this is being done.
A check of their online order status system repeatedly indicates the order is "Pending". Emails to the company largely go ignored, with the exception of 1 reply, which stated "I'll find out what happened when I get into the office.", from Kim (support@advancedgps.com), also apparently the owner of the company as listed with the BBB. No followup occurred on her part, nor is the company answering my emails anymore.
Also of note: The company advertises a Las Vegas PO box as their address, but the same company AdvancedGPS.com actually does business in California, according to the Southland BBB (ID 13155800), and according to them "Based on our standards, we rate this company as having an unsatisfactory business record."
They also do business at two different Southern California addresses, and curiously, the Vegas address isn't listed. The Website registration supports the contention this is the same company I'm dealing with. Why would a company need to operate out of a PO box out of Las Vegas, and use an anonymous 800 number to conduct business?
This company fails to provide the service they advertise and simply are not responsive to customer queries or for orders for merchandise. What's worse, is they have my money, but only until I contact AMEX to ask for a charge-back!
