I have had repeated service calls and each time I have been told by repair personnel that this is a problem washer. I have replaced the main circuit board twice for problems with the door locking mechanism since purchasing the machine in 1998. I would not recommend Maytag to anyone after my experiences. I have owned Sears Kenmore in the past and would gladly trade this "top of the line" washer in for one any day!!! This washer should be recalled or a trade-in should be offered to all the dissatisfied customers.
