Complaint Repair received the following consumer message on June 19, 2002:

RE: cross country bank - calling and demanding payment

telephone harassement...they call my home 5 or 6 times a day. they called my work and coerced me into making very minimal payments...i told them i can't right now and i have their name and number and as soon as i am able, i will pay the freaking bill. they kept talking so i hung up. they called right back (remember, i am at work and very busy) so i let my voice mail pick it up....

well, the went to the receptionist and had me paged. the next day i let my voice mail pick up and they called the main number and asked the receptionist to speak to (get this) my HUSBAND! she said he doesn't work here.

they called her a liar and harassed her for about 5 minutes. then they called back and asked for the personnel dept. the personnel manager came down and told me that they were asking for me.....

Is this not rediculous. so my husband called them and told them that we will pay when we are back on our feet and until then DO NOT CALL MY WIFE AT WORK! i've received 3 calls per day since then. this is CRAZY!!!!
