Last month while attempting to start there was a boom. My plastic intake manifold was in pieces. The day before the car had just turned 40,000 miles. This cost nearly $500 to repair. When I brought this to Oldmobile's attention, they first asked for more information, then after about 2 weeks they answered that they had never heard of the problem before and they could not compensate me in any way. Any help you could give me or if you have heard of this problem would be greatly appreciated.
