RE: PartsTrain.com - cancelled part of order - received partial refund, but still owed $ 5.69

On August 13, 2003 I made an online purchase from PartsTrain.com for a radiator fan assembly and an A/C condenser fan assembly, each at $68.95, plus $11.38 tax, $8.95 shipping, and $13.90 handling. The total was then immediately credited, before shipping, to my credit card account.

Then on August 15th, I received a call from PartsTrain.com, stating that the radiator fan assembly was not in stock and would be "back ordered". That item will not be shipped until August 29th. I told them that I cannot wait that long, so I would like to cancel the item on back order. They complied.

On August 18th, I received my A/C condenser fan assembly and realized that I was charged before shipping for $172.13. I immediately called PartsTrain and they told me that they would refund the part I cancelled, yet they could not give me the amount to be refunded. I emailed supportdesk@PartsTrain.com about the refund and the cancellation of the item and received the confirmation numbers for two emails sent that week.

Later I found out, upon checking the status of the requests, that both of the so called "ticket" emails do not exist. I have ticket numbers, but the emails do not exist when I made a complaint. PartsTrain is definitely ignoring me in refunding me back.

Now, they have credited $75.90 ($68.95 + $6.95 handling), but where is the $5.69 tax that I paid for? They still owe me $5.69. I have contacted Maria and she promised to pay this amount back. Up until now, I have not that amount on my credit card.
