Complaint Repair received the following consumer message on April 26, 2002:

Mutual Bank - bank error caused 5 checks to bounce, still charged bounced
check fees
Two months ago Washington Mutual made a mistake on my account that I myself
did not notice, when they corrected the mistake it caused 5 checks to
bounce.
They are charging me returned checks fees for these checks when they were
the ones to make the mistake. I called & they tell me that I should
have picked up on the mistake & by doing so I would have prevented
these fees.
If it took them 2 months to find this mistake what makes them think its
easier for me to fnd it ? I did not make any mistake, they did !
