Dear Sirs, I came across this posting in doing a search for ePhone. My 80 year-old mother’s bank account was also debited by ephone in an unauthorized manner.
Kathy is right, ephone staff persons hardly ever answer the phone, & when they do, they’re rude & belligerent. She needs to request a refund IN WRITING (and keep a copy) to ePhone Telecom at:

Please let consumers know that they need to file a complaint with: *the Virginia Attorney General’s Office. *his or her state’s attorney general’s office. * The FTC especially, who are suing a company called ASSAIL, Inc. telemarketers and CAPITAL FIRST BENEFITS. You can see an online copy of the injunction at the receiver of assets, ROB EVANS, attorney’s website.
If anyone ever has an unauthorized draft from their bank account, the bank should reverse the draft if it’s within 60 days (according to NACHA regulations). Then close the account immediately.
Not that the BBB can do anything, but check out their website and do a company search for ephone and see the numerous complaints they have posted. While you’re at it, check out therip-offreport.com and search for ephone. You’ll see ePhone being implicated in a number of complaints concerning the issue of credit cards scams.
The FTC has suing a company called ASSAIL concerning just this situation
