Complaint Repair received the following on April 10, 2003:

Asheville, NC - not allowed to return TDK VELOCD 5200B cd burner - as
it was more than 30 days past purchase
To who it may concern, 4-10-2003 My name is Stephen Leggett,rt. 4 box
218-a Hendersonville,NC,828-243-2226. l live in Trans. county,and I dont
get to Asheville,NC. to often, which is where I bought my CD burner. On
1-12-2003 I was doing a job in Ashevill,inside painting.And the person
who lived there was fixing my PC,so I wanted to add a CD burner.
I figured Best Buy would be the place to go,(at least thats what I tell
all my clients when they need something Best Buy has).So I bought the
TDK VELOCD 5200B,on SALE 89.99 regular price 125.99. Only the one I got
for has a tage on it that says OPEN ITEM.I assumed some one got it for
Christmas, needed the money in stead and returned it, (cool) I got a bargan.
(Wrong) !!
It seems one of two things,someone brought it back because it was bad
and it was put back on the shelf,or Im doing something wrong!! I follow
its instructions,it sayes its burning ,after waiting for 18 or so,it says
burning compleat,sucesfull.But disk has nothing on it! I haven't yet found
the recipt for it so I never had a chance to return it. Yesterday 4-9-03
I stopped by Best Buy in Asheville,told the guy at the front desk, on
my way in, this story. He said being it been more than 30 days they wont
take it back.All I want is another CD burner,And Im only a small buisness
oner.
But Im a member of CSA(Citizens for a Sound Economy ID#201512461) Do I
need to send them a coppie of this letter or is there a chance that I
can replace it ,and we can say you stand behind your products,or other??
