Starband Satellite TV - trouble with service
Just like Statband saying "ALWAYS ON" ya the power is on but ever tryed to get a web site good thing that I only work from home and only use the inter net for work
Why are we being the one that BATA test the software have had no problems with my hardware """YET""" Hey windows 98 v2 has been around a few years and if your software has problmes on it you need new programers
I have been told to reformat my hard drive to are you networked "only have one computer in this house" to my lan settings are bad to my network neaborhood has got some tpc/ipx file in and that took 8 reboots and 54 min on phone to fix it that day they even wanted me to uninstall MSN Dial up "let me get this right you want me to use your dish that is broke now and uninstall the software that I use when you are down" what would I use to logon.
I was going to ask if you have any problems with a Dell 666mz 45gig 512mb CDrom Flopy with a sound card and 56 k modem with win 98v2
I am saving up some money and Going to get a new computer and first software one from dell that is prebuilt but the only problem is that they want to sell you Win XP so not sure how that will work all so the only installed is Starband and am willing to use my Camcorder to show what is going on.
I have offered teck support to camcorded the broblem or use my digital camera and send pic's of what is going on and he said no need to do that ""the reason is they know all the problems""" but have no fix.
lets see Cluster 5 is down then up then down then up I am at my computer most of the day and I get to see how many times a day it is up and down more then people that just surf at night. Then the Mail server is down then up then down then up then call wait on phone and some how during the 10-20 min wait with out even using the mouse it will load the page or get the email and yet my t.v. is on with my left hand I can touch my screen and left hand touch my t.v. but I have

but the Inter net is a loss for words I have been with Directpc and have only had one problem with it some reason during the install the software misplased some files and had to call tec and 1 hour later it was fixed the reason I went with Starband/Dishnetwork was I had been a DirectTv person for years and wanted to try the other one called Dishnetwork
I have 3 DirctTv sat dishes and 3 receivers and One Direct pc Dish and One Starband Dish
Out of 5 Satdishes and all the years of using Sat GUSSS what one of the 5 I want my money back on is ??????

Lets see $820 for dish and then You need a Receiver for T.V extra $150
If you are geting a Dish don't you need a Receiver ??? Last time I checked and the amout of paper work that it took should have been the biggest sing to me not to get it but it sounded so GOOD and then give you 3 days to cancle and do you know what happed on the fist day ya no inter net for 1 hour at 6:00 a.m how many of us are online then ???
So I called 1-800- Starband "we are open from 9:00 till 5:00 " ok then wait till they open and then told to call another number
Then 2 day was down for 1 hour again that was it my point to get out but no I stayed. I am out in the country and 4 miles from any town so cable inter net no and dsl no so Iam left with 28,000 k conect or this Dish that says it is fast.

This is my last step I have got a NEW hard drive and going to install WIN 98 V2 and just starband software if that is not going to fix it is going ot be a big problem.

Have Called so many times that I am ging to know the teck people there that is a bad sign and I have a Call log there and they are going to need to get a bigger file cabnit it is getting full.
