RE: Scripps Medical Center - ongoing billing problems

We have had SO much trouble with Scripps and their process of billing. We get O.K.s on all our medical issues and then they turn around and say it isn't covered, even though we always have correct referrals and are ALWAYS told that everything is covered before we continue with getting surgeries, medical procedures etc. Then we get a huge bill and they tell us that we are not covered by our insurance.

ALWAYS! And they have a problem with billing the correct insurance even though we only have one insurance. They seem to be extremely confused. This has happened so many times that we are learning to expect a problem everytime we go into Scripps to have anything done. We are always expected to solve our own problems and they are never willing to help out with this.

I would suggest if anyone can, to get away from Scripps and go to the UC system which is so much better, with more caring Doctors and allot less problems. Or Sharps. Scripps is really a headache!

Sincerely,
the Summers
