Jennair built-in-oven

A few days a go I was warming up a small tray of chicken nuggets in my Jennair wall oven which we purchased two years ago. It was on "low broil" when suddenly heard an explosion inside the oven and smoke started coming out. I turned off the oven immediatley and left the oven door closed until smoke was gone. When I opened the oven later on, the broil elements on the top of the oven were melted. This is a serious malfunction of this appliance which could have caused injuries and loss. I called Maytag and they sent a serviceman to come and repair it. The serviceman was unaware of any similar incidents because obviously the company does not keep a data of the type of repairs they do. This is a very serious matter and if there has been even only one such an incident for the safety reasons they should have
Warned the consumers. We are very disappointed with Maytag.
