RE: Hotmail account cancellation - account cancelled without notification - supposed violation of TOSTwo days ago, I went to my Hotmail account and found that it was cancelled.
- No warnings, or report had been sent to me. When I asked customer support what was going on, they advised that there had been a violation of "Terms of service" (TOS). I asked what this violation was, as I was unaware that there had been any such violation - they refused to comment. (Saying that "for security reasons" they wouldn't offer any other information and were not obligated to comment). Is this the end of the matter or do I have any recourse for further action?
- I have carefully gone through their TOS and I cannot see where I committed any infraction. The concern I have is that someone else has hacked into my account and this has caused the problem - The other concern
I have is that I have two teenage sons and I am very worried that they, somehow, have gained access to my account. (And violated Microsoft's TOS.
All I need to know is what is the "charge". Surely I am entitled to know that? There were a mass of valuable e-mails on my account - all inaccessible now and it seems as if I have no rights at all. Can you help?
Many thanks,
Ian Rivlin
